Tuffies Sport Tug O War Dog Toy (UTWRP) Review

Tuffies Sport Tug O War Dog Toy (UTWRP)

We got one of these for our Doberman who destroyed many other products. She loves it.
We always play tug with her and put it away when done, otherwise she would be able to
rip through it and get the stuffing and squeakies out of it.
The bonus side is, her teeth have been so much cleaner after using it for 10 minutes
a day. Even the vet thought we had her teeth cleaned. Chewing on it and tugging seems
to be like cleaning the plaque off each day...how could we complain about that.
Yes, it will get destroyed if your dog is large and a chewer, unless you play with them,
with it. Then put it out of reach after you are done. Ours lasted about a year, and we
are getting another one.

I recommend these lights for walking your dogs at night. The lights were easy to install. You will need a phillips screwdriver with a small head. Definitely worth the money.

Petsafe PIF-300 Wireless Dog Fence Containment System + 2 Packs (4 batteries)... Review

Petsafe PIF-300 Wireless Dog Fence Containment System + 2 Packs (4 batteries)...
Average Reviews:

I read the two comments about the PetSafe radio-controlled wireless fence system which uses RE-67 6v batteries and was completely puzzled by their reviews. So much so, I was compelled to give my review.
Firstly, I have been using the PetSafe RFA-67 batteries in my dog's collar for 5 1/2 years, and they never give out in just 2 weeks. Perhaps the person actually bought some other brand and wrote a review here? Over the years I have used them, they have consistently lasted 3-4 months each. I never remove them from my dog's collar and my transmitter is always left turned on. I do, however, only put the collar on my dog as I let him outside, and remove the collar when I let him back in the house.
Secondly, the collar has never just randomly shocked my dog. The only time time this could happen is if you were to load your dog inside your car while he is wearing the collar. The metal car blocks the signal so in essence it is as if your dog has moved outside his containment zone.
I think the PetSafe system is fabulous for situations like mine, when you have a large property that you want your dog to have partial access to and you don't want to dig out a trench to lay the wire.
We planned to train our dog to the system when he was 4 months old. In preparation for it, we never allowed him to go outside what would be the containment zone (so he was always on leash in our yard prior to training him to the PetSafe system).

PetSafe Indoor Radio Fence Review

PetSafe Indoor Radio Fence

Well I was afraid of getting this, I purchased this for my indoor cat, who developed a bad habit of taking a dump in the sink when nobody is around to stop him. I tried all sorts of deterrents before deciding on this (because I was against shock collars). Here are the methods I tried.
#1. Tattle Tale: worked well but was VERY annoying. Any visitors would bump into it and set it off and it was very loud.
#2. Ssscat: Worked well but only if you remembered to turn it on, we constantly turned it on and off between using the sink for our own purposes and it does release an initial bust of air for no reason which scared our cats because they thought they were doing something bad. Our cat quickly learned to identify this item so we had to camouflage it and hide it inside random counter items so he wouldn't just recognize it, and somehow even if he did recognize it he still went ahead and took the change because sometimes somebody would forget to turn it on and so he would get away with his business.
Now finally we have this item. Before purchasing I did as much research as I could for this item, something not too strong and with a small radius for shocking so it could be reserved for just the area that is off limits. So I decided on this item.
Upon arrival I tried it on myself to ensure that ths was not going to be too painful. It continuously gives you a mild shock (about as strong as carpet shock or a sweater static shock you would normally get) I set it to the smallest shock radius (2 feet diameter, 1 ft radius) and placed it on my cat.
I am pretty confident that it has been working. It has now been over a month and he has not used the sink for relief (he used to go maybe 1 x week)
If I had a large dog I would probably rate this 5 stars and I know it wasn't designed for small dogs and cats but that is the reason I gave it a 4 star.
I cut the collar small enough to fit my cat, but the strap is not tight enough and after two days my cat was able to scratch it off himself so I had to replace the strap with a 3/4" double sided velcro collar and that one holds on well. It even looks much better than the original blue collar as well.
I will update this in the future if my cat decides he doesn't agree with this review :)

Train your dog or cat to stay away from specific off-limits areas inside your home, such as the sofa in the family room, your bed, or the kitchen trash can. The PetSafe Indoor Radio Fence emits a radio signal through walls and floors at a range of 2 to 20 feet. When your pet's receiver collar strays into an area you've marked as off limits, it receives a warning tone and a mild stimulation that reminds it to move away. Use the Indoor Radio Fence with as many pets as you like, provided each pet is wearing its own receiver collar. Receiver collars sold separately. If you already own a PetSafe outdoor in-ground fence, the same receiver collars work with the Indoor Radio Fence.

Pawz Away for Dogs Outdoor Pet Barrier Review

Pawz Away for Dogs Outdoor Pet Barrier
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Firstly, I want to state that this product is intended to act not as a containing barrier. Even though I currently use it for that purpose, it has failed to properly contain my dog a couple of times (running around a fence and into the neighbor's backyard). Meaning, that if I did not want my dog going past a certain point, it may take a little more training with this product before that happens. However, if you are using this as it was meant to be used--to keep pets out of certain areas--it works without training.
The setup with this is very simple and straightforward. Yes, as others have mentioned, you will need four D-size batteries (the instructions say they will last a year). Other than that, there is no learning curve. Here is the basic run down:
Step 1: After putting in the batteries, place the rock near, or in, the area you want the pet to stay away from. Remember, each bar represents a circumference of two feet, up to sixteen.
Step 2: The collar provided may be too loose on your pet's neck, in which case you will have to adjust it to fit (leaving enough room for your index finger to fit between the neck and the end of the metal prong).
Step 3: Using the provided tester/key turn the transmitter to on.
Step 4: Put the adjusted collar on your pet with the "PetSafe" logo facing towards the chin, and the transmitter directly underneath the jaw.
That's it. You can either decide to let the pet find the new "barrier" on his/her own or you can lead them to it so that they know where to avoid.
The product works great and delivers a pain-free, but jarring shock that gives the pets definite warning. As you can see in the video, I tested it on myself to get an idea of what it was like: hurts less than everyday static shock.
This gets a great recommendation from me for anyone that wants a failsafe way to keep pets out of unwanted areas.
