(More customer reviews)This collar is made for a larger dog. There is no way it could be used as a 10" collar and it is way too heavy for most 14-16 inch dog/neck size let alone anything smaller. In addition, the vendor requires prior approval on returns but includes no phone number to call for approvals.

I called K-V Pet Supply and they were very courteous and helpful. I was able to exchange the collar for the correct size with no hassle and again, it arrived very quickly. The collar is of very good quality leather, both inside and out. The reason I purchased this collar was because of the deer tan lining on the inside of the collar. My little Suzy just loves it!!

Kurgo TruFit Harness for Dogs- Small Review

(More customer reviews)I've bought two of these this year for my 14 pound Bichon. Both failed when the cheap plastic fastec buckle snapped at his shoulder. The red one made his fur pink, but I didn't mind that too much since I think the wide chest support is so great. The second one I bought was khaki, and that color was true. I think $10 a month for harnesses is too much (two at $20 which lasted a total of four months). It got two stars instead of one because I like the design.

The background photo looks like a paper copy and there is paint chipped off of one of the clock hands. Looks passable from a distance, but I wouldn't have bought it if I'd seen it first in person.

I feel it's too easy to bump the dial and change the level by accident though
it is somewhat stiff. I much prefer the Dogtra 282 which also has a rheostat
but a digital readout of the level.
Other than that it's a fine unit and the continuous adjustment will allow you to
get the exact level you are looking for.

Single Ply Nylon Collar 3/8" x 10" Red Review

(More customer reviews)I bought a whole bunch of these little 10 inch pet collars because they were really inexpensive at $2 each. I'm using them as luggage tag straps, not as pet collars. For my purposes, they are fine because they are still made of strong nylon webbing and the buckle is firmly attached. The colors are good standard primary colors, and the buckle is a normal silver colored metal.
But I've purchased similar ones in the past from supermarkets and pet stores (probably made in China . . .) and the finishing on these is truly inferior. So just in case you're fussy about how nice the collar looks on your pet, here are the appearance issues. The collar's holes (for size adjustment) really look like amateur time: 1) they are four times larger than they need to be, 2) they are all sort of irregularly shaped, like someone punched each one by hand with a tool that wasn't sharp enough, and 3) the holes are spaced about an inch apart -- completely unsuitable for fitting the collar on a small cat or dog!! In addition, the end of the strap is just cut straight across, not rounded off or tapered like the better ones.

(More customer reviews)I have extra large dogs and this is a nice collar for every day use. Although I don't keep a collar on the dogs when they are playing in the back yard, this collar is good for general use outside of heavy play. The martingale collar functions as a collar and as a choke. However, if you have extra large dogs--this is not going to prevent you from using some arm muscles and digging your heels into the grass if the dog decides to take off. There isn't enough of a "choke" effect for the dog to notice. I had used it on a 200 lb wolfhound who would shy at strange objects on walks--this could be a fire hydrant that he hadn't noticed, a new blow up Christmas decoration at holiday time--and the collar would not hold him by my side as he shied or tried to take off from the strange object. The collar did work well on a medium size dog and a 150 lb wolfhound that did not have the fears of the 200 lb wolfhound. I like them in the house because I can control the dog if necessary, i.e., pull them off the day bed or couch when they are insisting they don't want to get up!

Double Ply Nylon Collar 1" x 26" Green Review
