The Sporn Pull Stop Halter Leash BLACK - LARGE Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My veterinarian recommended I try this halter in order to control a 70 pound adolescent sheepdog who was next to impossible to walk. While the veterinarian admitted had no experience with the halter, an employee in his office had highly recommended its use. She used to have a husky who was a former sled dog and this product was the only thing that would control her husky. Our Ginnie Mae chased cars, stalked animals and seemed to think she was a sled dog pulling me! Choker collars did little to deter her dangerous behavior. She would tug until she backed out of a regular collar. If she saw a bird my arm was torn out of the socket! On more than one occasion, I ended up mid air and on the ground! Daily walks were dangerous and neither one of the kids could walk her.
Our first walk with the Sporn Halter was amazing. This formerly uncontrollable dog never tugged at the leash--NOT ONCE! The halter completely subdued her behavior. The straps around her front legs are not at all tight so the dog seems completely comfortable. It is easy to fit, easy to get on and off the dog and the dog does not seem to be bothered by the apparatus. The Sporn collar can remain on the dog (with the arm straps detached) but I have found it easier to just leave her regular collar on and leave the sporn halter on the leash. No reason the kids cannot walk her now!
I do not know why this apparatus works but it absolutely does!

The Sporn Pull Stop Halter Leash BLACK - MEDIUM Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I like this because it is easy to put on and take off--and it is flexible for when I want to let my pooch off leash but not take off the harness. It helps a little with pulling but is no magic contraption.
I like it for my older pup who I am not trying to train but want to keep from choking herself on a walk, but I gave it four stars because it doesn't stop pulling like it claims.

PetSafe ® RFA-67 Batteries Economy 12-Pack (12 batteries) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I'm just leaving this review to warn others that this price doesn't make any sense. At the time of this writing, this battery 12-pack is going for $44.40, or a cost of $3.70 per battery.
The 2 pack is $6.50, or $3.25 per battery, so you'd actually pay significantly MORE by getting the 12 pack.
The 4 pack is $12.91 for a per battery cost of $3.23, BUT right now the 4-pack is not eligible for Amazon Prime.
The 8-pack price is $24.95, for a per-battery cost of $3.12 per battery -- that's the best value right now, but only by 13 cents per battery vs. the 2-pack.
I hope this helps!
Paul

Enameled Wire Muzzle #10 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Although there is nothing really "wrong" with this product, it didn't work for me and my dog. He has a very short muzzle, but a very big head. The muzzle was constantly rubbing up and down his nose, and he could slip out of it very easily. I would recommend sizing your dogs muzzle very carefully before purchasing.

Herm Springer Pinch Collar 22in Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Very fine nickel-chrome finish and exactly sized as advertised. Works great and does not injure or restrict breathing on the dog...a very big dog, being a 130 pound Anatolian Shepherd!
This has made it much easier for everyone in the family to handle our Lion Dog, and for those of us with recent hand injuries, has allowed dog walking when it would otherwise be impossible. This is a very high quality product, that was delivered quickly and as represented.
It could save your dog, and definitely prevent an arm or hand injury!

Petmate by Aspen Pet Aristo Small ID Tube Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this item to put on the ID collar of my Italian Greyhound just in case it managed to get away. The tube comes with a small rolled up piece of paper with space to place your contact information in case your pet gets loose. Great idea and I think everyone should have one. However, here is why I only give it 3 out of 5 stars. On the one I bought, it seems that the part that screws into the tube, and which holds the rolled up paper, comes unscrewed. I discovered it on the floor of my living room and screwed it back into the tube. The next day I found the bottom again seperated from the tube. This time I tightened it as tight as I could. The next day, gone again. This time I think somewhere in the back yard and I haven't found it again. I don't think that the natural motion of the dog should cause the bottom to keep separating from the tube. I guess I could use a little superglue to keep it together but then I don't think someone finding the dog with the collar would be able to open it then.

Gentle Leader, Large w/ DVD, Color: Hot Pink Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This lead is awesome as a kind way to train your pooch. It takes a few hours for pups to get used to the feel of face straps and passersby sometimes think the dog is mean, assuming the dog is muzzled, but your dog will listen to your commands in no time. We only use ours now in situations where the dog will become very excited such as entering the bark park. Being disabled, this is all the difference between being able to take her, or not. It works!

Cetacea Adjustable Leash with Internal Coil & Quick Release Handle Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Great leash. Thanks to the bungee inside the leash, it never drags on the ground, and the dog is less likely to get tangled. I love the handle. It has a quick release plastic buckle like those found on collars. I can easily unclip the buckle, and leave my dog tied up to my chair, the tree, etc. The clip is big, so I would not buy this particular product for a small dog. Works great for my medium sized border collie.

Petmate by Aspen Pet Aristo Medium 2-Tone ID Tube Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought one for my collie about January. She has a powerful back foot and loves to rough-house with my corgi. Ours is purple and gold. This thing has never gotten loose and has stayed super tight. It doesn't let water in and withstands my corgi's powerful bite. He's a monster that can chew through anything. My collie beats her collar to death when she itches and hasn't been able to budge this thing. The paint chips off after time, but I didn't get it for looks, I got it to keep her info safe. It doesn't get in her way, the size is wonderful, and it dangles low enough to be seen through her fur. I'd recommend this product and have many times. I wish it could be glow-in-the-dark in a way that the paint couldn't chip off. That would be neat since I have a tri-color collie and it's hard to spot her tags sometimes.

Ruff Wear Web Master Dog Harness Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I had the Ruffwear backpacks for my dogs before buying these harnesses and loved those. I liked that the backpacks had 2 straps underneath the belly so that i could lift the dogs up if necessary without hurting them or the harness coming off. I bought this harness because I wanted the same use of the backpack but for times when a backpack isn't necessary (regular walks, hot hot days, etc) and I got exactly what I wanted. The webmaster harness is just exactly like the ruffwear backpack without the packs. The sizing and everything was spot on and I'm very pleased with the product.

Kurgo K-9 Truck Tether Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I think this product is a great idea. It's easy to attach to any truck bed size. It is fully adjustable and strong. My dog can poke her head over the side of the bed but cannot jump out. She has managed to tangle herself twice but is learning on her own how to not get tangled. I'm very happy that I bought this product.

Pet Impression Casted Paw Print Keepsake Shadow Box Frame Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Two years ago this past April, a friend gave me one of these frames. My best friend in the world, Lucky Boy, was 17 years old. He had been a Therapy Dog with me for 14 of those years. When I got the frame set, I made the paw print with Luckys' help. The quality of the product is equal to frames at twice the price, and the ease of using it was much greater than I imagined, like totally simple and fast. Lucky and I missed the first couple of times, not because of him, but because I didn't have him sit for a few will I prepared the putty. If that happens,,, Not a problem though,,, simply reshape the putty and give it another shot. This is NOT a time sensitive / speed thing you have to do. After three tries, I now have the most memorable testament to his life together with me. As the picture, I chose one of us with his best doggie friend in the world, Beauford, that had gone to the Rainbow Bridge 2 years earlier. On August 21st, 2007, I had to give Lucky Boy his final gift from me. Lucky loved the beach and the paw print reminds me of his paw prints in the sand when we went for walks there. I have bought many of these for others and I recommend it as a wonderful way to remember your special four legged friend. It may sound strange, but having the paw print impression along with the picture, allows me to feel that he is at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for me. You will feel the same way if you have this happen to you. I cannot think about anything that is as simplistic as this product, yet it so rewarding in what it does.
PS: I don't know what the putty actually is, but I have had mine for 2 1/2 tears and there is NO shrinkage or Cracking. Great Product!

Pinch Collars Light, 2.25mm, 8 links x 1 in. each Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Obedience Training is not only the right thing for your dog but also society at large. If you educate yourself using prong collars and also obedience training; then practice using the collar before you start training with your dog; you will not be performing a cruel act, you will be demonstrating that you are a responsible dog owner. Of course, if you don't know what you are doing with a prong collar; then who is being cruel?
