(More customer reviews)Lucy is a dump job that landed at my house a couple of months ago. A large Hound Mix with a Hound-y voice to go with her, she is now a happy and crazy year-old girl. She's as tall as my Yellow Lab, but doesn't weigh as much as he does. I needed a good, strong collar for her, and this fit the bill quite nicely. All her tags are on it, and it holds her very well when she's out bouncing around at the end of the 60-foot cable. She's a color mixture of white and tan, and the collar looks very nice on her. Great collar, and a super price!

NatureCALM 24/7 Feline Calming Pheromone Collar (Upto 15" Neck) Review

(More customer reviews)I got this product after much thought and research for my 7 year old European Burmese who tends to be restless and anxiety prone. In the past he has also had problems with aggression toward another cat in my home and spraying.
He has been on 5 mg of Prozac for the past 3 years and each time I have tried to wean him off the Prozac his noisy, restless behavior comes back within a week or two.
I am a veterinary nurse at a feline exclusive hospital and our veterinarians are recommending these NurtureCALM Pheromone Collars for cats with anxiety and behavior issues. The feedback so far has been very encouraging. It is my hope that with the help of the NurtureCALM collar my cat will be able to be weaned off Prozac.
There are several things that I don't like about the collar. It is made of a very stiff plastic like material that tends to crack and break easily. In fact the collar that I purchased was cracked in several places and the buckle was about to break off.
I ended up having to return the collar for a replacement. This was discouraging considering the high cost of the collar. The other big problem with the collar is that it is covered with a messy, flaky white substance. Apparently this is what "holds" the pheromone.
I was very concerned that it would have an unpleasant odor but it does not. The flaky white stuff is messy but I am hoping that in time it will be less so. Also, keep in mind that the collars only last about 60 days.
My cat has worn the calming collar now for about 4 weeks and I can see that it has made a huge difference in his restless behavior without making him dull. I am now giving him his Prozac every other day and he is doing well.
The flaky white stuff quickly dissapated, so it ended up not being a problem. I will continue to purchase this product and very much recommend it to cat owners who are experiencing behavior issues.

Top Dog Spiked Pink Leather Dog Collar 1 3/8 x 18 inch Review

(More customer reviews)i was excited to receive this product for my English Bulldog.
The product description is fairly accurate.
The only problem I have with this product is that the metal part where the buckle is located is a bit too large. It's thick and large and also the strap where you insert the end of the collar in is a bit too close to the buckle. It makes a bit of manuevering but perhaps its because it's leather, thick and still new and needs to be broken in.
I would have given it a 5 star if the metal buckle wasn't so awkwardly large and thick.
But my dog looks pretty good in it... even though it seems to swallow her neck whole for now. But I'm sure she'll grow into it when she doubles her weight!

You have to loosen it up enough to slip it over your dog's head to take it off which is a real inconvenience if you're at the vet and need to get it on and off quickly and don't have time to fool around adjusting it. It loosens itself up over the course of the day, so your dog may be able to slip out of it even if you haven't personally loosened it. I would say go with one of the quick release martingale collars that can be taken on and off easily and is still a martingale collar so they can't slip out of it.

This is the only halter I could find that had 3 points of adjustment, the front shoulders, the vertical strap under the chest, and the back strap that secures around the dogs abdomen. I could be incorrect about this, but I have not found such an item at local chain stores i.e. petsmart, petco, etc. Have purchased this product before in Germany and South Africa in stores. Could not find in US until I found them on Amazon. Will continue to be a Rogz product user. Our dogs are very happy. Very durable.

"Electronic" E-Cat Door with E-Sensor Collar Review

(More customer reviews)I decided on this product after reading the reviews of all the other similar cat doors on this site. It seemed they all shared certain negetive features. At the time this was the only door without reviews. I took a chance and it paid. This is a very well designed, solid constructed door. It requires a 9 volt battery which is included that needs replacement every 6 months. It comes with a very thin adjustable collar and a real small magnet on a ring which slides over the collar. It does not get stuck on the door jamb like some of the other doors reviewed and it is small enough and light enough as to not pick up metal debris. The magnet also detaches and holds I D info on the cat. Great door at a reasonable price.

(More customer reviews)The quality of this collar/tag combination set isn't what I'd hoped for. First, the tag connects to the collar with velcro-like tape. I'd expected it to be more securely mounted. Second, the dye from the collar (I got the bright pink one) bled onto my dog's white fur when we played in the sprinkler. My dog now has a lovely pink ruff which hasn't faded even with a bath. After the pink neck accident, I tried soaking the collar in warm water. The collar was still releasing dye and tinting the water pink after six water changes and an overnight soak.
Aside from these complaints, it did work as a collar.

Reflective Easy Walk Harness, Medium/Large, Red Review

(More customer reviews)This is an excellent harness and I recommend it for anyone who is working with a dog that pulls too hard or lunges. It works as advertized--when the dog pulls against the leash, she gets turned towards you. It feels like you're applying hardly any pressure on the leash. It is surprising for the dog but does not choke them or hurt them in any way. My dog, a young boxer-mix rescue dog, was not well socialized as a puppy and we're working to teach her to not get so excited and fearful when we see another dog on leashed walks. When I tried the harness with her, she learned almost immediately to walk with a loose leash. Now we can focus on reinforcing good behavior, instead of just working hard to physically restrain her.
When I emailed Premier with a question about what size to get, they sent a courteous and helpful response that very same day.
I got the red reflective harness. The one I got is actually a deep crimson/maroon color with a light reflective stripe, and does not look red and orange like it does in the picture. The M/L "tweener" size fits my big-chested dog well. The size M fit her girth fine, but the chest strap wasn't long enough. It just takes a few minutes to fit the harness properly to the dog, and the directions are very clear.
