Bags on Board Bone Dispenser with 30 Refill Bags Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I tried 4 different poop bag holders, and this product is by far the best. Easy to put a refill roll in, easy to pull a bag when needed, and perfectly hanging on the leash. Well made with hard plastic. I won't go for anything else. The combination of black holder with blue poop bags looks even chic (I'm not kidding). In New York City where I live, there are so many selfish dog owners who leave mess on the streets. But if you truly love your dog, you've got to clean after him or her religiously - Who wants your own dog to walk on the streets covered with it? So, for me, this product is in fact the proof of true love for my best friend. Join the club.

JMK 07100 10' Retractable Dog Leash - Assorted Colors Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Everything about this leash screams 'Cheap!'. Its Chinese-made junk. Every piece of it is made from the lowest quality parts. The plastic housing barely fits together, it feels like it will fall apart at any time. The leash winding/unwinding action is loud, when it works. It will often get stuck, forcing you to yank on the leash to get it moving again. 2 stars because hey, it does work, just poorly. I never considered there were standards of quality in dog leashes, but this is the lowest!

Bags on Board Retractable Dog Leash with Built-in Bag Dispenser Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Well, this is the second Bags on Board retractable where the inner spring
has broken, difficult to repair. The case is very sturdy and takes a beating
when chasing fido down the sidewalk. We use the broken leash as straps on
the luggage rack. I haven't tried another manufacturer.

Preventic Tick Collar Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)As stated, these collars are intended to prevent Ticks from attaching to your dog. This is NOT a Flea collar. You may still find ticks that end up walking around on your dog, but this collar will likely kill them or keep them from biting/latching on to your dog. Here's how we started using Preventic collars:
We started using Frontline about 6 years ago and although we continue to use it today, we were finding ticks still attached to our dogs, engorged with blood. After we lost one of our dogs to Lyme's Disease, we decided to try these Preventic collars in addition to the Frontline. I know we are 'double-dosing' our dogs by using 2 products at once (and we get reprimanded by our Vet) - but after 2 years of using Frontline AND Preventic, the dogs have not had an adverse reaction, and it is VERY rare that we ever find a tick attached to any of our dogs.
***I don't recommend that everyone start using both Preventic and Frontline. We were desperate - we wanted to protect our dogs from the fate that one experienced. Using both could pose a health risk for your dog.
I've heard very good results from people who use the Advantix product on their dogs, but it is VERY dangerous to use around cats (we have too many cats that rub on the dogs) and although we did try the Advantix once on our dogs - all of our dogs had a reaction (itchy) to it.
So, until something else comes on the market that produces better results, we're sticking with the Frontline and these Preventic collars. These collars are also packaged under the name Zema - also made by Virbac, Inc. and have the same ingredient (9% Amitraz). I don't know if they are exactly the same or not. The Preventic collar states that it will kill ticks UP TO 90 days. The Zema collar (formally known as "Tick Arrest" collars) state that they kill ticks for 75 days and I've found that they are a little less expensive.
Hope that helps!

Virbac Preventic Tick Collar for Dogs (one 25'' collar) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My vet tech suggested this collar. I found Amazon's price to be MUCH cheaper than the vet's, so I returned theirs which was over $25.00. I was told you can use it in conjunction with Frontline Plus, which I do, because sometimes I would still find a tick or two on my dogs. I use it only on my long haired dogs and it must be close to the skin according to the instructions. I don't want my other dogs to bite it while playing, so I have chosen not to use it on my short haired dogs. Will buy more!

Hartz UltraGuard Flea & Tick Drops For Dogs Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My dogs have been using Frontline for the last couple of years but I decided to give Hartz a try since it had been recommended to me. I applied the appropriate dosage to my Pomeranian mix (20lbs), who immediately after began exhibiting odd behavior including vomiting, and rolling her eyes back. I called up the emergency vet who told me the horrors of Hartz flea treatments. I immediately gave my dog a bath, to get the chemicals off her and drove her to the vet. Unfortunately this product can be lethal, luckily my dog recovered just fine, but not all pets are so lucky. I can't recomendmd this product.

Peace Signs Dog Collar Medium Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I haven't bought this exact design, but 14 years ago (fall 1996) I bought a Bison adjustable collar for my puppy, the hot chili design. She died a few weeks ago, and was wearing that collar up until then. We now have a new puppy, and I've been looking for a "forever" collar for him but haven't found anything I liked. I decided to pull out Sam's old collar and see if it had the brand still visible on there since it lasted so long. Sure enough, it was a Bison, and honestly it looks like it's only a few months old. These collars are durable enough to not only survive as long as your pet does, but also to look good. Now I'm just narrowing down the design choices, trying to determine which one best suits the new pup.

Hamilton 3/8" Adjustable Dog Collar, Extra Small, Fits 7"-12", Lime Green Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought a Hamilton collar of this style for a large dog. 120#. Chasing a squirrel in the park and coming to the end of the lead, the abrupt snap caused the steel ring to move up over the buckle and release the snap tabs. Voila! Loose dog!
Not something you would want to happen around traffic or people who are afraid of dogs.

Rogz Reflective Dog Collar Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this b/c I am sometimes nervous that hunters will think my German Shepherd is a wild animal. So the orange collar does make him stand out. It is also reflective in headlights. The quality seems good, though I've only had mine for a month.
