Rosie weighs only 12 pounds and is 12 years old and this only lasted a month before I found cracks in the cable.( yes, she as with all Skips, is very busy) As she fits through our iron fence slats, and Skips are prey seekers, I have to tie her out when she is outside. I need a solid heavy tieout line for her and this one did not hold up even if rated for a MUCH larger dog.

That was 2 weeks ago and I have never heard from them again. I sent an e-mail and did not get a reply. Will not do business with these people again.. I feel like I threw away my money. (More customer reviews)We often walk and jog with our dogs in the early morning and late evening hours, and I've always wanted a product just like this. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. My 55-60 pound dogs should fit nicely into the middle range of the medium size bands, but the bands have very little elastic stretch to them and are nearly impossible to get over the dogs' feet; I just don't have the patience to try to squeeze them over all eight feet every time I take the dogs for a walk. I think the dogs would quickly tire of such an uncomfortable routine as well. They would be wonderful if the bands had a velcro attachment so you could just wrap them on and go. On the plus side, they seem well made and the red color and reflective stripes are nice and bright.

It almost killed my cat, who, after a flea-free life, wound up with fleas this past summer, and I purchased this product to help address that problem. Yes, yes, I simultaneously treated the house, with a pump spray, using all the precautions stated on the container. After 4 emergency room (animal hospital) visits, patient spoon feeding with strained baby food, rehydration, and a myriad other life-saving and bank account-depleting interventions, I've since learned about other cats who met with a similar fate and worse. How can this product continue to be sold? Name recognition and affordability, I suppose, but every vet with whom I've spoken since say the same thing. Hartz be gone! Other products- Frontline, Advantage, and Virbac Knockout spray - remedied the flea problem, and my cat ultimately recovered. Flea growth inhibitors, not poison! A tough lesson learned. Wish I could give this product negative stars, but the program won't allow.

(More customer reviews)I bought this collar, because my puppy's current collar still fits with room to spare, but will soon be too small. His current collar is just under 13 inches long, so the 16 inch collar seemed like a good choice, although I know he'll need at least one more collar. When I got the collar and tried it on, it just barely fit. The entire collar is just over 15 inches long. It is not 16 inches. Not only that, but standard for a 16 inch collar should mean that it is 16 inches at the largest hole (probably about 14 inches at the smallest hole setting). So, at the largest hole, this collar is about 13 inches. Otherwise the color is nice and matches the photo, and the quality seems decent, but I've returned it because it isn't 16 inches.

(More customer reviews)If you can find batteries that will power it and keep a charge longer than a day it might actually assist you in training your dog. However, in the six days I have it, it went through a pair of batteries in a day. The cheapo ones that came with it did ok, but needed to be replaced the next day, the store brand I had on hand could power the light and make it beep but were not strong enough to make the noise or vibrations otherwise, and Duracell batteries lasted only one day also.
The unit does seem to work, I have used it when my dog barks, jumps and nips. It does stop the action at the moment but without being able to use it like he needs with daily reinforcement I am unable to...maybe after I buy into Duracell I will be able to afford to.

The collar seems to get lose on its own. I find myself re-adjusting it quite often. We take him on walks with a lease latched onto it and it doesn't come unhitched or anything.
However, for those out there with new dogs or untrained dogs that like to tug and try to get away or go for another dog, person, cat, etc., I would not recommend this collar. If a large breed dog wanted to, it could probably slip its head right through it. Luckily my boxer is nothing like that. To be safe, I do have a walking collar and his home collar.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this collar for my 5lb chihuahua. The picture shown makes it look thinner of a collar than it really is and the buckle looks smaller. The buckle on it was too large for her delicate neck and the collar too wide. It didn't take but a month or two and it started rubbing wrong on her neck. She didn't have hair on her neck to begin with so it gave her a rope burn on her neck. I haven't had a collar on for a week now because of it. This might not be bad for a dog with lots of hair and a thicker neck, but not for a petite dog.
