PupLight - Safety Light - Blue Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my Border Collie when I let him out back at night instead of standing out there with a flash light. He is so funny to watch in the dark running around and lighting his path, this item has even entertained the neigbors while he out.
Great item if just used in your fenced yard or taking your dog for a nightwalk.

Small PolyBrite Dog Collar (Red/black , 12-16 in.) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a great product but I got one that does not work. I emailed the person I bought it from and they were really nice about it and said they would send me another one. That was 2 weeks ago and I have never heard from them again. I sent an e-mail and did not get a reply. Will not do business with these people again.. I feel like I threw away my money. I have nothing to show for it but a collar that does not work.

Bright Steps Reflective Leg Band for Dogs Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We often walk and jog with our dogs in the early morning and late evening hours, and I've always wanted a product just like this. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. My 55-60 pound dogs should fit nicely into the middle range of the medium size bands, but the bands have very little elastic stretch to them and are nearly impossible to get over the dogs' feet; I just don't have the patience to try to squeeze them over all eight feet every time I take the dogs for a walk. I think the dogs would quickly tire of such an uncomfortable routine as well. They would be wonderful if the bands had a velcro attachment so you could just wrap them on and go. On the plus side, they seem well made and the red color and reflective stripes are nice and bright.

PolyBrite LED Illuminated Dog Collar- Yellow/ 22-26" Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The collar lights up nice. The battery is a pain to get to, un-doing 2 tiny screws from the back. I liked the older collars better with the push and turn battery replacement. Also the power switch is a little cheesey. I liked the push button on the end of the old ones.

PolyBrite LED Illuminated Dog Collar- Green/16-22" Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)After recieving a polybrite collar as a gift years ago, I had to find our new dog one. These are great collars with a long battery life. The battery in the older collar is still holding strong. I use these collars when letting the dogs out in the yard at night while taking out the garbage, having different color collars for each dog so I know who is who while out in the yard. When I walk them in the early moring or late evening they are also great for saftey and being noticed by vehicles that drive down the county roads that we walk along. They are visable and much better than just a "reflective" collar because they light-up or blink and are visable without being in the path of vehicle lights. Great collars that are easy to size for the perfect fit, turn on & off and that has safety in mind! I Highly recommend them!

Illuminated Dog Collar Size Small (12" x 16") Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was very pleased overall with this purchase of the
reflective lite-up collar. It performed as stated on the web site. It has clear visibility as cars from about 5 blocks away tend to steer to the other side of the road well in advance (not knowing what the flashing light is).
Others think it is cool too. So now my dog is "Joe Cool" of the neighborhood.
One thing I would change in the design though: The ring where the leash attaches is limited so it is hard to add all the tags and id for the dog. I added another ring from an old collar so it works fine for me now.

LED Nylon Night Safety Dog Collar by Nite Ize Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have to give this collar five stars even though it has a few minor drawbacks.
I have two very active dogs. One is an Akita Inue puppy. The other is a Black Labrador retriever. We go for walks in the woods every night. On moonless nights, it is almost impossible to keep track of them without this collar.
Shoppers should note that the entire collar lights up. This significantly increases the possibility of seeing your dogs in the dark because you will be able to see the collar from almost any angle.
The collar has a fiber optic tube through its entire length. It is LED illuminated and consumes very litle battery power.
One of the drawbacks, however, is that it is only brightly visible at night. If you leave it on during the day, you won't be able to tell that it is on and consuming battery power. You can run down the batteries very easily if you don't shut it off when you and your dogs are done using it.
The other reviewer mentioned that it is difficult to shorten the collar. This is actually fairly easy. All you have to do is temporarily remove the fiber optic tube from the collar, cut it to length, then re-insert it and shorten the collar using the buckles.
The other minor drawback, to me, is that the color on the collar tends to fade if your dogs wear them a lot in direct sunlight. However, this only results in a faded color for the collar. It does not affect the excellent nightime visibility.
This product is unique, works well, and, is economical. I gets five stars from me.

Tracker Flash Hunting Dog Collar Light Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)As mentioned in another review, you have to buy a "belt-style" collar in order to be able to use this light. (It can't fit over the traditional "clip" collars.)
My dog's collar came off him one night when he was swimming in a creek after a river otter. The next morning, I went down with a rake to try to retrieve the collar and light from the bottom of the shallow creek. When I retrieved the collar, the light was still on!
This truly is waterproof and shatterproof, and it could withstand 12 hours underwater and remain ON!
I am very impressed with this light. Visibility from afar is great as well. The light is very bright. I would recommend it.

Lava Electronics LC-9 G L QPets LED Safety Dog Collar for Large Dogs, Green Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Great product. Very durable. I've had it for about 2 months now and besides it being a little dirty, there has been very little wear and tear (I take my dog for play-dates and they play ROUGH). It is made of good materials and looks very stylish. My dog loves running into bushes at night and the bright LED strip allows me to see where he is. The only problem that I have with this collar is that it seems like the battery might be kind of hard (or maybe even impossible) to change because of the waterproof design which makes the battery pack extremely hard to access. But in the time I've had it, I have yet to worry about it.

Nite Ize NND-03-10M Nite Dawg Light Up Dog Collar, Red Led Red Webbing, Medium Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I got both a red and orange version size large. They work very well. The adjustments were easy and the instructions clear. Once set up were a snap to use. I use these as a secondary collar at night. They come packaged with tight bends in them that prevent the light from traveling the length of the collar. This is easily fixed when the adjustments are being made by warming the plastic light bar with a hair dryer until straight. The light bar is easier to remove from the collar if you (1)Slip the battery cover out as instructed until you can get your fingers on the plastic light bar. (2) Hold the light bar and pull the nylon collar by its far end sliding it off the bar. It sticks if you try to push it off. Pulling the battery pack could damage the unit. When you reinsert the light bar it is easier to thread it through the sliding adjustment clasp by pulling about 4 inches or more up through the clasp and then bending it back through the other side. Then proceed with adjusting the size to the length you needed. I adjusted the first collar the hard way. The second one went much easier. Have I mentioned how visible these things are? My dogs glow in the dark woods at night. They can be spotted a long way off. A wonderful accessory for night time walks.
